JetBlue is restructuring its TrueBlue loyalty program's Mosaic elite tiers and milestone rewards in 2027, with meaningful cuts to mid-tier benefits offset by new BlueFirst cabin upgrades.
What's changing
Mosaic 1 and 2 members lose significant Perks You Pick value starting January 1, 2027. At Mosaic 1, the 20-tile bonus and $99 statement credit disappear, and the points option drops from 15,000 to 10,000 TrueBlue points (per Frequent Miler). Mosaic 2 faces the same cuts plus loses the pet fee waiver, though it gains a one-time Premium Upgrade Certificate. Milestone benefits (earned at 10, 20, 30, and 40 tiles pre-Mosaic) convert from recurring perks to one-time-use passes. A member earning 40 tiles currently receives 5,000 points plus three recurring benefits every flight; in 2027, they get 4,000 points total and can use any benefit once across the four milestone selections. The one-time 2x JetBlue Vacations multiplier vanishes entirely, replaced by a 2-tile option.
Who this hits
Mosaic 1 and 2 members take the hardest blow, losing roughly $130 to $195 in annual benefit value and recurring perks that made sub-Mosaic flying less painful. Reaching higher tiers becomes costlier since elite members gifting fewer bonus tiles (now limited to Premier cardholders at Mosaic 1) can't subsidize friends' tier progression. Members chasing Mosaic 3 and 4 face higher implied earn requirements without reciprocal gift support from lower tiers. JetBlue partially offsets this with BlueFirst upgrades for Mosaic members, but upgrade inventory is tiny (12 first-class seats) and clears only 60 minutes before departure, limiting practical value compared to competitors.
What to do
If you're currently in the Perks You Pick cycle and have not yet made your selections, lock in higher-value options (the 20-tile bonus at Mosaic 1, the $99 statement credit, pet fee waiver) before December 31, 2026. Existing Mosaic 1 and 2 status carries into 2027, but new Perks You Pick menus apply to all 2027 selections. Milestone perks selected in 2026 remain recurring; only 2027 milestones become one-time-use.
