How to use this page
Devaluations are the highest-leverage moments in the points hobby. One ratio change can erase the math on a saved redemption overnight. We track these as they happen so you can:
- Lock in pre-cutover rates. When a hotel chart restructures (like Hyatt May 20), bookings made before the cutover usually keep the old chart for the full stay. Acting in the window matters.
- Reroute transfers. When one issuer's ratio drops, another issuer often still has the better rate. We cross-link to alternate paths from the deep page.
- Avoid speculative transfers.Don't move points to a depreciating partner unless you have a booking in hand.
