Bilt Rewards is cutting its transfer ratio to World of Hyatt from 1:1 to 4:3 starting January 1, 2027, the latest devaluation in a series of shifts affecting Hyatt's transfer partners (per The Points Guy).

What's changing

Beginning January 1, 2027, every transfer of Bilt points to World of Hyatt will require 33% more points to generate the same Hyatt award. A 60,000-point World of Hyatt stay that costs 60,000 Bilt points today will require 80,000 Bilt points after the cutover. The change applies universally to all Bilt members, with no carve-out for premium cardholders like Bilt Palladium Card holders.

Who this hits

Bilt members who have built a transfer strategy around the 1:1 ratio face a material headwind. This follows Chase's own cut to 4:3, which took effect June 15, 2026 for new Chase Sapphire Preferred applicants and October 1, 2026 for existing Sapphire Preferred cardholders and all Ink Business Preferred cardholders, though Chase preserved 1:1 for Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders. Bilt, by contrast, offers no exemption at any tier. The timing also coincides with Hyatt's broader 2026 chart restructure, which moved from a 3-tier system to 5 tiers and introduced higher peak pricing, and Hyatt's stated target to grow revenue from its credit card portfolio and similar third-party relationships from $50 million in 2025 to $105 million in 2027.

What to do

Transfer any Bilt points you plan to move to World of Hyatt before January 1, 2027 to lock the 1:1 ratio. Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders keep the 1:1 ratio, with no end date announced.
